VEDA, which is an acronym for VERSATILE ELECTRONIC DESIGNERS ASSOCIATION, is a student s association formed in the year of SEP 2012 The prime motto of this association is to provide the students with the skills that are necessary to bridge the gap between the institution and industry.


Telecommunications engineering or Telecom engineering is a major field within Electronic engineering. The work ranges from basic circuit design to strategic mass developments. A Telecommunication engineer is responsible for designing and overseeing the installation of Telecommunications equipment and facilities, such as complex electronic switching systems, copper telephone facilities, and fiber optics. Telecom engineering also overlaps heavily with broadcast engineering. The VEDA organizes many workshops, symposia and seminars to quench its members’ needs.

Objectives of VEDA:

• To have invited talks from National and International experts in different subjects of ECE.
• To conduct National/Zonal level seminars, workshops - at least one in a semester.
• To conduct short term courses (two weeks) during non-class work period/ vacation.
• To conduct student technical competitions, in the form of Quizzes, technical Essays etc., once in a year.
• To conduct cultural and sports activities.
• Conducting internal seminars every week, in a topic given by the faculty.
• To train the student in fault diagnosis and repairing of lab equipment and domestic appliances.
• To impart training for the students in assembling computer hardware and peripherals.
